Keith Hanna

Keith Hanna

Keith Hanna is a master-level personal and business coach and organizational designer with 30+ years of full-time experience in the venture support business.

Stepup Coaching serves a diverse range of private equity, venture capital and alternative finance firms, complex partnerships, growth entrepreneurs, management teams and platforms. We work with scale-up ventures (small to mid-sized) in a diverse range of industries: energy services, cleantech, health services, SaaS technologies. He and his team work in Calgary and Toronto Canada and select parts of the US.

Keith is solid keynote speaker, facilitator and author of several books and a weekly blog on the topics of innovation and entrepreneurship. His unique approach to personal and professional growth is called blindspotting–identifying and resolving unconscious patterns of unworkable attitudes and behaviour. He has developed software-based coaching tools to enhance team leadership, engagement and performance. He is a particular interest in sustainability, impact and helping ventures retool their operating systems and organizational cultures to capitalize on opportunities from the current ESG movement.

Keith and his long-time partner Tania live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and are fanatical mountain bikers, ice climbers, backcountry and resort skiers, golfers, travellers, Malamute lovers, theatre and concert goers, and connoisseurs of fine food and wine.

In his 15+ years of public practice he has supported customers in a wide variety of industries including some of the top technology companies in Canada. His company, LiveCA, is an extension of his passion to make an impact in the lives of others, but also in a way that challenges the general accountant stigma, making him proud to be a CPA.

He co-founded LiveCA LLP in 2013 which quickly became one of the leading remote-only CPA firms in Canada. As CEO, he’s responsible for managing the overall profitability, customer satisfaction and employee engagement in the business. He also acts as the leading head coach to the senior leadership team.

Josh travels often, taking full advantage of the remote work environment and is currently situated in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His wide range of hobbies include salsa dancing and jazz guitar but can often be found doing something active outdoors like running, hiking, cycling or mountaineering.
